Howdy Ya'll. Well maybe I forgot I had a blog.  Let me quickly introduce you to my life now a days. I have been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint. I am going to be serving in the Texas McAllen Mission speaking Spanish. I leave January 14th to the Mexico MTC.  If you have counted, yes that is 41 days. Holy cow! When I was little, all the missionaries seemed so old.  Even in high school being 19 seemed to be forever away.  Where did the time go?

People always ask me if I planned on serving a mission my whole life. The answer to that is no. If you ever told me the beginning of my senior year that I'd be going on a mission I would think you were crazy. I had it all planned out... I would go to college, the mission thing wasn't for me.  I did pray about it though, multiple times. And shockingly I didn't receive that flash of lightning experience you hear about in the ensign. Ya know the "I just knew" or the "it was the strongest feeling I've ever felt".  I took this lack of "lightning" as a no.  I figured eh I guess it's not for me.  So I went on planning for school.

 I had more thoughts about a mission which were all countered by I could never do that... Learning a language would be so difficult....I'd be an awful good teacher. So once I again.... Nope no mission for this girl.  As I continued through my senior year I was set on my plans and I was excited about them.  One day in seminary my teacher, Brother Gividen, was talking about missionary work. During this lesson I kept saying to myself, I can't go on a mission (along with all the excuses in the book). But suddenly he said something that stuck me. "Give Him (Heavenly Father) a worthy willing and obedient servant and He will do with them marvelous things."  Oh. I am worthy, I could be willing and obedient. I could do it if the Lord wanted me to. All these things really opened my eyes to consider a mission.

So once again I prayed about it, over and over and over again. Still no lightning.  I didn't know what to do. I felt good about both options.  What does Heavenly Father want me to do?  I often pondered about both options. It took a long time but I finally realized the reason I felt good about both options. Both plans were really good choice that would bless me.  Heavenly Father knew that and He was giving me the option to choose!!!!! How amazing to know that whatever way I went Heavenly Father would continue to love me and be proud me. He Trusts us.  After I made my choice to serve a mission I had the lightning confirmation I had been waiting for. This was a good choice for me, I felt it.

 I am so blessed to be able to go and serve the people of Texas. I wouldn't trade this opportunity for the world and I haven't even left yet.  I know that Texas is exactly where the Lord needs me to serve. I have never been so happy in my life!!

Christmas

CHRISTMAS!!! I am so sad it is over. The break never seems long enough. Well, Im back to school sadly :( but Ill survive. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and we got to spend time with our family. We had pretty good weather and no snow the whole break. Crazy huh! Here are some pictures from the events

Everything has been so crazy lately. Like school, drill, birthday's coming up, and everything else int the midst.
Yep I am in high school and that is just dandie. Yes I am now 16 and am a licensed driver!!! And I can date now. And can go to the girls choice halloween dance as well. Oh and I finally got a phone. I think with me being gone so much they are probably sick of not getting a hold of me. Well we just got back today from the Payson Temple ground breaking. It was so good. Elder Oaks was there to do the services. We had a great time even though it was so cold and raining most of the time(when it started then the rain just drizzled). But dad got to turn a shovel during the meeting. Afterwards everyone else got to come up and turn some ground. We are so blessed to have a temple here. Dad thinks that they will start construction Monday. YES!1

We had a blast and enjoyed the holiday together.

So................ a few things have happened lately. I past road and so I just have to wait til my birthday to get my license. WOOT WOOT
Mom and Dad went and returned from their Alaskan cruise. They had a fabulous time on this adventure.
also I went to girls camp. I didn't get to go up the first day the next day I did though but had to go home that night because of drill but I got to sleep over the last night. It was so great tons of good spiritual things and fun. We actually had to move camp grounds because there was a bear in ours. That happened last year too but neither times it was our fault. Just up the road the tervort clan was camping in their trailers. Mom and pops were up and so were Kristy's fam, Julie's, and Jamie's (but they did not sleep over), and tony. So right after camp I was was dropped off for another camp trip. We had fun and hopefully will enjoy the festivities tomorrow. I will post pics later.

A lot has happened. I went to efy, a went to a dance camp (which the video is from), Kristy's 2 month baby is 16 pound 8oz, Kelle turned 10, we spent Thursday to Monday at the cabin,oh and my parents are on an Alaskan cruise. I don't know if I am suppose to show this video but we wouldn't of performed it if we are not suppose to show it off and this is a performance. But just don't show the world this.

Well my computer is being dumb so I will post pictures of our fourth adventures next time.

Eventful few weeks

So A LOT has been going on lately. I going to tell you about the ones more recently to the farthest away!

Grandpa Tervort had a birthday! His birthday was the 9th of this month. We all love and miss him so much! Here he is with grandma and below is him in his uniform.
